Susan Salazar

Susan is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#17030). She focuses on providing support to children, youth, parents and adults in a variety of emotional, behavioural and life challenges.

Originally from Venezuela, Susan also offers services in Spanish.  

Susan’s counselling approach is rooted in attachment therapy and integrated with counselling modalities such as relational therapy, person-centred therapy, trauma therapy and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), among others. 

Susan is passionate and warm. She places particular importance on the relationship with her clients. Trust, deep connection, respect and hope are pillars of the therapy work with her. She believes in all human beings' inherited resilience and focuses on uncovering and strengthening this quality to facilitate self-awareness, healing and growth. Susan will work with you listening to what you need and following your own pace. She is flexible, communicative and open so you can always feel safe during your counselling journey together. Susan supports her clients from a strengths-based approach, encouraging interdependence, connection and belonging.
