Alexandra is a Canadian Clinical Counsellor (#10004941) and a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#18689). She specializes in trauma therapy from a client-centred, humanistic approach. Tailoring her services to the individual needs of the client, Alexandra believes in the intrinsic uniqueness of each youth, adult, family, and intimate partnership.
With a lifelong passion for helping others, Alexandra has explored a variety of experiences before setting down roots in mental health. Her broad experiences enable her to connect easily and hold unique spaces for others.
Alexandra has a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Trinity Western University, and a Bachelor of Arts Specialized Honours in Psychology from York University. She has a variety of specialized training in trauma including Observed and Experiential Integration, and Sand Tray Therapy. With a passion for working with people at all stages of life, Alexandra journeys alongside to help others overcome past histories and patterns to create a more fulfilling future.
Alexandra recognizes that individuals are shaped by their experiences, both in and outside of their control. Utilizing talk, experiential and play therapies, Alexandra uses a holistic approach that focuses on the relationships that individuals have with themselves, and with important people in their past as well as in their present. She meets individuals where they are and helps them understand how to make lasting changes in their lives.
