Therapy for youth and adults
Sydney holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, along with a Human Services Certificate from Trinity Western University. She is currently completing her registration process with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).
Sydney provides counselling to youth and adults, with a particular focus on trauma, domestic violence, relational wounds, supporting first responders, emotional avoidance, and concerns related to self-worth.
Sydney believes each person holds inherent dignity, value, and worth, and that healing is nurtured in a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals can bring their full selves. She honours the courage it takes to begin counselling and trusts in each person’s capacity for growth when they feel understood, supported, and empowered with knowledge that can help them move toward healing.
Her approach to therapy is relational, compassionate, and grounded in attachment theory. Sydney works from a trauma-informed, integrative perspective, drawing primarily from Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), somatic practices, and elements of family systems work.
Sydney recognizes that each person’s story and needs are unique, and she tailors her approach to the individual. She collaborates with clients to ensure that therapy feels meaningful and aligned with their goals.
