Youth & Trauma Therapist

Specializing in therapy for youth and adults
Mary holds a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Trinity Western University. She assists youth, young adults, and adults in overcoming past trauma, joining them on their path toward healing. Her journey in counselling has involved supporting individuals in navigating unresolved wounds of the past, chronic stress, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and relationship challenges.
Sometimes, life’s challenges can steal our confidence or make us feel lost, alone, and stuck. Mary strongly believes in the innate human capacity for growth and change. Integrating evidence-based practice with authenticity, she is committed to supporting clients on their journey out of suffering and toward living fully. Because life's challenges can feel unbearable when carried alone, Mary would be honoured to join you and hear your story.
Her approach to counselling is relational, experiential, and trauma-informed. Mary draws upon Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and somatic practices in her work. She firmly believes that each client is the expert in their own experience, and she seeks to adapt every session to the client’s unique preferences and pace.
Outside the counselling room, you’ll find Mary enjoying nature, whether she is reading a book by a rainy window or hiking one of BC’s beautiful trails. Some of her other favourite things include spending quality time with family and friends, exploring local coffee shops, and baking while jamming out to her favourite music.
