RCC #21862

Specializing in therapy for youth and adults

Gabi holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#21862) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. She has experience working with youth and adults navigating anxiety, emotional dysregulation, life transitions, grief and loss (including

traumatic bereavement and non-death losses, such as loss of identity, career, or health), developmental and relational trauma, family estrangement, and perfectionism.

Gabi believes in our inherent capacity for growth. She is committed to helping you uncover the ways trauma and adversity have shaped your thoughts, feelings, and overall sense of self. Together, you’ll work through the lingering effects of past traumas, gradually reclaiming agency in your life. This process aims to help you feel more energized and empowered, allowing you to embrace your authentic self and forge deeper connections with others.

Her approach to therapy is grounded in understanding and valuing your unique experiences through a trauma and violence-informed lens. She integrates client-centered, attachment-based, emotion-focused, psychodynamic, somatic, and systemic theories into her practice. Gabi’s primary approach, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP; level one trained), will support you in exploring and processing challenging experiences in a supportive environment.

At the core of her work is the concept of undoing aloneness, which addresses the emotional disconnection that can result from experiencing traumatic and adverse events alone. By building a strong, empathetic connection with you, Gabi will ensure you feel supported and understood as you navigate past emotional and relational experiences at your own pace.
