RCC #20600

Specializing in trauma therapy for children, youth and adults

Ian is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#20600) who works with children, youth and adults who are struggling with the experience of disconnection. To help clients along the healing process, Ian draws from therapies that emphasize the importance of connection.

Try Again. Fail again. Fail better. – Samuel Beckett

Inspired by these simple words, Ian treasures the inherent uniqueness of all human beings, a uniqueness that deserves to be witnessed in all its beauty and the growing pains that come with its becoming. Ian strives to walk alongside individuals in their search for the apostrophe and the space that separates imperfect from I’m perfect.

Ian holds the core belief that suffering is the experience of disconnection, be it with their loved ones, with their lived-worlds, or with themselves. As such, Ian’s approach draws from therapies that emphasize the importance of connection as a healing process. These theories include Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Existential Analysis (EA), and Third-Wave Cognitive Behavioral Therapies.
